FYI, we've just formulated a new policy on "gray market" used equipment. See below - basically, to get support, you must first buy an IOS license, then undergo an equipment inspection. Regards, Aaron --- Cisco's software license is non-transferable. Any transfer of the software license is in violation of the original software license agreement. Warranty for Cisco equipment is to the original end-user and is non-transferable. Cisco may enter into a support contract for used equipment subject to: 1) proof of a valid software license; and 2) an equipment inspection. For any piece of equipment that is purchased through eBay or from another company, the obtaining company does not receive any warranty support and must place the used Cisco unit under a support contract in order to get help from the TAC. In order to receive a support contract, customers must purchase a new software license and have their used equipment inspected. Customers may purchase the software license and inspection from their Cisco Service Sales Rep or Account Manager. Please direct customers to these Cisco employees. Service Relations will not sell said products. On-Site Service will arrange equipment inspections.
